This work is an homage to John Coltrane’s unwavering devotion to his craft, his family, and his spiritual journey toward enlightenment. Constructed through layered textures, fragmented imagery, musical references, and stitched interventions, the piece mirrors the improvisational structure of jazz itself — intuitive, emotional, searching, and deeply human.

At the center of the composition, the word “LOVE” emerges partially obscured beneath veils of color and texture, symbolizing love not as a fixed idea, but as an evolving force that shaped Coltrane’s music and his understanding of existence. References to A Love Supreme anchor the work conceptually, acknowledging the album not only as a landmark in jazz history, but as a spiritual offering — a prayer transformed into sound.

The stitched elements throughout the piece function as visual repairs and connections, suggesting the labor of holding together identity, purpose, family, and faith amidst the turbulence of life. Industrial hardware and found materials introduce tension between the mechanical and the divine, echoing the struggle between earthly systems and spiritual liberation.
