This year celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Citywide African American Artists Exhibition and will be hosted at different venues and spaces across the city including the University Museum at Texas Southern University, the Glassell School of Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and others to be announced.

I cordially invite you to join me Thursday June 16th, 2022 from 7pm - 9pm for the opening reception and award ceremony. Located at the University Museum on the campus of Texas Southern University. 3100 Cleburne Street, Houston, Texas 77004. Exhibition runs through Sunday August 14th, 2022

The March on Washington Film Festival is proud to host a three-day art exhibit complete with lectures on Friday afternoon from artists, executives, and industry insiders spanning generations. This exhibit is a collaborative fine art show that pairs the pieces and stories from some of the legacy artists of the 1963 Spiral Group with contemporary artists who are following in the footsteps using their art and influence for social justice, including Shawn Artis, Lavett Ballard, Jamal Barber, Kevin Cole, Najee Dorsey, Claudia Gibson-Hunter, and Charlie Palmer.
